Georgia? Where's that?

Why are McCain and Obama talking tough about Russia all of a sudden?

On August 8th, Georgia sent troops into South Ossetia, and the Russians responded immediately. Because of Georgia's position astride natural gas and oil pipelines, Europeans are nervous about the implications of war in the region. I always find it fascinating to watch foreign news. Here's a clip from a show "Russia Today". Russia has argued that the USA is behind the Georgian offensive on August 8th. Here's an interview of an American in South Ossetia. He accuses the Georgians of "genocide".
